प्रश्न

A bag contains 3 red, 3 white and 3 green balls. One ball is taken out of the bag at random. What is the probability that the ball drawn is – red.

उत्तर

Total number of balls  = 3 + 3 + 3
= 9

Number of red balls = 3
Therefore, required probability =`\text { Number of red balls}/text { Total number of balls}`

`=3/9`

`=1/3`

Hence, the probability that a red ball is drawn is `=1/3`.
