प्रश्न
A boy played 100 games, gaining Rs. 50 on each game that he won, and losing Rs. 20 for each game that he lost. If on the whole he gained Rs. 800, find the number of games that he won.
उत्तर
Let the number of games that he won be x.
So, the number of games that he loss is 100 - x.
As per the given condition,
50x - 2000 + 20x = 800
⇒ 50x - 2000 + 20x = 800
⇒ 50x + 20x = 2800
⇒ 70x = 2800
⇒ x = `(2800)/(70)`
⇒ x = 40
Hence, he won 40 games.
