उत्तर
Plaster of pairs is a substance made from gypsum that hardens when combined with the right amount of water and has the chemical formula CaSO4.H2O. Calcium sulphate hemihydrate, or CaSO4.1/2H2O, is its chemical name. Gypsum is heated to 373K to create plaster of pairs. Gypsum crystallises into plaster of Paris when heated, losing three-fourths of its crystallisation water.
