Empirical formula mass = 12 + 3 × 80 = 252 g

Molecular formula mass = 2 × 252(V.D) = 504 g

n = `"Molecular mass"/"Empirical formula mass"`

= `504/252`

= 2

∴ Molecular formula = 2 × C1Br3

= C2Br6
