प्रश्न

A Cricket player scored 180 runs in the first match and 257 runs in the second match. Find the number of runs he should score in the third match so that the average of runs in the three matches be 230.

योग

उत्तर

Runs scored in First match = 180

Runs scored in Second match = 257

Let's cricketer should score x runs in the 3rd match

`"Average of run in 3 matches "=( "sum of all the runs in 3 matches")/("no. of matches")`

`230 = ( 180 + 257 + x)/3`

230 × 3 = 437 + x

∴ x = 690 − 437

∴ x = 253

∴ The cricketer should score 253 runs in the 3rd match.
