A soda bottle will go flat (loose its fizz) faster in Srinagar than in Delhi. Is this statement correct? Why or why not?

At higher altitudes, i.e., in Srinagar, the atmospheric pressure is lower. The solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of the gas over the solution; therefore, the carbon dioxide dissolved in water will be less at Srinagar, making the soda go flat faster.
