Let the required whole number = x
Then (x + 7) × 5 = 45
`=> (("x" + 7) xx 5)/5 = 45/5` (Dividing by 5)
⇒ x + 7 = 9
⇒ x = 9 - 7
x = 2
∴ Required whole number = 2
