• Digitalisation

1. The process of computerisation has digitised processes for several sectors. For example: Education, banking, taxation, marketing etc.
2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used for various purposes. For example: Production, manufacturing, surgery, robotics etc. 
3. Data mining, data processing, data analysis, data management etc. has contributed to enhanced efficiency in various sectors. For example: Governance, medicine, trade and commerce, banking, insurance, real estate, stock markets, communication, transportation systems etc.
4. Digitalisation has encouraged us to invent, innovate, patent and create. For example: In the context of pilot training, we have simulators. 
5. Digitalisation increased utility experienced by end users. For example: Some processes that make use of digitalisation are filing IT returns, obtaining birth/ death certificates, online admissions, etc.

• Modernisation

1. Due to modernisation, scientific temperament has developed. People now need empirical evidence in support of given arguments. For example: They no longer believe in superstitions since it is not supported by any valid scientific evidence.
2. The rational approach is adopted by society. This is reflected through a shift from spiritual-religious values to secular and rational values.
3. Modernisation has also enabled people to think critically. For example: People are now becoming more broad-minded and liberal. 
4. There has been a significant technological advancement. For example: Today’s industrial societies heavily depend on advanced technology.
