प्रश्न
Answer the following question.
List the factors upon which the type of invading pioneer species depends on secondary hydrarch succession. Why is the rate of this succession faster than that of primary succession?
उत्तर
In secondary succession the species that invade depend on the condition of the soil, availability of water, the environment and the seeds and propagules already present. Since the soil is in existence already, the rate of secondary succession is faster than the primary succession, in which the soil is gradually produced.
