Shifting Axe Cultivation:
Shifting Cultivation refers to the form of cultivation where a large area of land is cultivated for a few years and then abandoned for some time until the fertility of the land is restored naturally. This type of cultivation is practiced in tropical regions and consists of the felling of trees on a hillside a little before the sowing season and setting them on fire.
