प्रश्न

By selling 300 lunch boxes, a shopkeeper gains the selling price of 100 lunch boxes. Find his gain percentage.

योग

उत्तर

Let ₹ x be the selling price (S.P.) of one lunch box.

∴ S.P. of 300 lunch boxes = 300x

and S.P. of 100 lunch boxes = 100x

Gain = 100x ...........…[given]

C.P. of 300 lunch boxes = S.P. – Gain

= 300x − 100x

= 200x

Profit% = `("Profit" xx 100)/"C.P."`

Profit% = `(100"x")/(200"x") xx 100 = 50`

∴ Shopkeeper’s gain percentage is 50%.
