प्रश्न
Calculate the current flowing through two long parallel wires carrying equal currents and separated by a distance of 1.35 cm experiencing a force per unit length of 4.76 × 10-2 N/m.
उत्तर
Given:
d = 1.35 cm = 1.35 × 10-2 m, `F/L = 4.76 xx 10^-2` N/m, I1 = I2 = I, I = ?
Formula:
`F/L = (mu_0)/(2pi)(I_1I_2)/d`
∴ `F/L = (mu_0)/(2pi) I^2/d`
∴ `4.76 xx 10^-2 = (4pi xx 10^-7)/(2pi)I^2/(1.35 xx 10^-2)`
∴ I = 56.68 A
∴ I1 = I2 = 56.68 A
