प्रश्न

Check whether the following is the solution of the equation x – 2y = 4 or not:

(1, 1)

योग

उत्तर

(1, 1)

Putting x = 1 and y = 1 in the L.H.S of the given equation,

= x − 2y

= 1 − 2(1)

= 1 − 2

= − 1 ≠ 4

L.H.S ≠ R.H.S

Therefore, (1, 1) is not a solution of this equation.
