The diagonals of a square are equal and bisect each other.
Steps of Construction:
1) Draw AC = 6.5cm
2) Draw perpendicular bisector to AC which cuts AC at O.
3) From this perpendicular cut OD and OB such that

OD = ${\displaystyle \text{OB}=\frac{1}{2}\text{BD}=\frac{1}{2}\times 6.5\text{cm}}$ = 3.25cm

4) Join AB, BC, CD and AD
5) ABCD is the required square.
