1. The reduced death rate in the second stage decreases further in this stage. Birth rate is also decreasing. Hence, the rate of population growth reduces. However, the population is still growing as birth rate is higher than death rate. The reduced birth rate in the third stage lowers further in this stage. The death rate is also very low. The birth rate is almost the same as the death rate. Hence, the population growth is minimal.
2. It is late expanding stage of population. It is low stationary stage of population.
3. The progress of the country is accelerating and the living standard of people is elevated as compared to the second stage. The financial condition of the country and economic status of citizens improves significantly as compared to the third stage.
4. The countries that are moving from developing towards the developed phase are going through this stage. For example, India and China. Developed countries are going through this stage. For example, USA.
