During a thunderstorm, the sound of a thunder is heard after the lightning is seen. Why?
उत्तर
The velocity of light is 3 × 108 m/s-1 whereas velocity of sound is 332 m/s-1. First we see the flash of light and then we hear the thunder.
As a result, lightning appears first and thunder follows. The thunderstorm may be far from us if there is simply lightning and no thunder.
