4. If the product is defective or non-functioning, the consumer must take the matter up with the manufacturer and then to consumer forums if the situation is not handled by the manufacturer. Consumers must understand their rights and responsibilities.
5. Consumers should ensure that the product's seal is not broken and that the packaging is not damaged.
