प्रश्न
Explain any three types of zones in Volleyball.
उत्तर
The three types of zones in volleyball are:
- Front zone: The space between the attack line and the centre line on each court is known as the front zone. The front zone is regarded as extending to the end of the free zone, past the sidelines. To attack a ball in the front zone, only players in the front row may jump.
- Service zone: The court's service zone is the region from which the server serves. This area is situated at the court's right-side corner, behind each end line. Two short lines, each measuring 0.15 meters that extend the sidelines and are drawn 0.20 meters behind the end line serve as its lateral boundaries. The service zone's width takes into account both short lines. The service zone extends to the free zone's end in depth.
- Substitution zone: Both attack lines extend to the scorer's table, defining the boundaries of the substitution zone. The player becomes an eligible substitute as soon as they step inside the substitution zone.
