Explain any two advantages of coalition governments.

Two good things about joint government:

1. In the 1990s, regional groups became more important in the formation of the central government under coalition government. This was clear in groups like the UPA (United Progressive Alliance), which was led by Congress, and the NDA (National Democratic Alliance), which was led by the BJP.
2. In the 1990s, the coalition focused on practical issues rather than ideological views. It went from having ideological differences to working out ways to share power. It was clear when, even though most NDA parties didn't agree with the BJP's "Hindutva" ideology, they worked together to form a government that worked for the whole time.
