प्रश्न
Explain how new Bryophyllum plants can be produced from the leaves of the old plant. Illustrate your answer with the help of a labelled diagram.
उत्तर
In Bryophyllum, the buds are present on the leaf margins. These buds have the potential for vegetative reproduction. When these buds get detached from the leaves and fall on the ground, they grow into new plants. In cases where the buds don't detach from the leaves, plantlets start forming over the latter.
