प्रश्न
Explain the centre circle.
उत्तर
At the halfway point of the line is the centre mark. It has a 9.15m radius circle marked around it.
In order to make sure that defending players retreat this far when a comer kick is taken, marks are made off the field of play, 9.15m from the corner arc and at right angles to the goal lines and the touch lines.
From touchline to touchline, the field is divided into equal halves by the halfway line (long sides).
The centre mark, which has a diameter of nine inches, is located halfway along that line, and the centre circle, with a radius of ten yards, encircles it.
The penalty areas are located eighteen yards from the goal line in front of each goal.
