Crystalline carbon Non-crystalline carbon
A crystalline form has a regular and definite arrangement of atoms. A Non-crystalline form does not have the regular arrangement of atoms.
Their melting point and boiling point are high and specific. It melts at very high temperatures.
Crystalline carbon is a very hard substance. Non-crystalline carbon is brittle.
A crystalline form has a definite geometrical shape, sharp edges and plane surfaces. They are amorphous, hence, they do not have definite geometrical shape.
Diamond, graphite and fullerene are different crystalline forms of carbon. Coal, charcoal and coke are different non-crystalline/amorphous forms of carbon.
