Case study is one of the qualitative research methods used in psychology. This method is mostly used by clinical psychologists. Sigmund Freud and Jean Piaget were the two important figures to use the case study method widely. Case study is an in-depth look at an individual, group, or particular event. It provides intensive, descriptive information about an individual from multiple sources, such as family, peers, school, academic and health records, etc. This helps to assess the person's level of psychologist, such as Sigmund Freud and Jean Piaget, who made extensive use of the case study method. However, this method is very time-consuming and highly subjective.
