3y(x – 2)2 – 2(2 – x) = 3y(x – 2)(x – 2) – 2(–1)(x – 2)
∵ Taking out – 1 from 2 – x
= 3y(x – 2)(x – 2) + 2(x – 2)
Taking out the binomial factor x – 2 from each term, we get
= (x – 2) ...[3y(x – 2) + 2]
