Current always flows from a battery's positive terminal to its negative terminal throughout the circuit. In the example of current flow from Q to P, current will flow from the positive terminal Q to the negative terminal P. Whereas, in the case of P to Q; current will flow from the negative terminal P to the positive terminal Q.
