प्रश्न

Find the probability that a number selected at random from the numbers 1, 2, 3, ..., 35 is a Multiple of 7

उत्तर

Total no. of possible outcomes = 35 {1, 2, 3, …. 35}

E ⟶ event of getting no. which is multiple of 7

No. of favourable outcomes = 5 {7, 14, 21, 28, 35}

Probability, P(E) = `"No.of favorable outcomes"/"Total no.of possible outcomes"`

P(E) = 5/35 = 1/7
