प्रश्न

Find the discount percentage in the following :
M.P. = Rs.1960, S.P. = Rs.1176

योग

उत्तर

M.P. = Rs.1960, S.P. = Rs.1176

`"S.P."/"M.P." = 1 - "discount"/(100)`

⇒ `(1176)/(1960) = 1 - "D"/(100)`

⇒ `"D"/(100) = 1 - (1176)/(1960)`

⇒ D = `(784)/(1960) xx 100`
= 40
∴ Discount = 40%.
