प्रश्न
Find the equation of a line through the given pair of point (2, 3) and (– 7, – 1)
उत्तर
Equation of the line joining the point (2, 3) and (– 7, – 1) is
`(y - y_1)/(y_2 - y_1) = (x - x_1)/(x_2 - x_1)`
`(y - 3)/(-1 - 3) = (x - 2)/(-7 - 2)`
⇒ `(y - 3)/(-4) = (x - 2)/(-9)`
– 9 (y – 3) = – 4 (x – 2)
– 9y + 27 = – 4x + 8
4x – 9y + 27 – 8 = 0
4x – 9y + 19 = 0
The required equation is 4x – 9y + 19 = 0
