Let initial velocity be u.
Final velocity is v= 0 m/s.
Time taken by body to come to rest = 10 sec.
Retardation =2.5 ms-2.
We know v = u +at.
Then u = v - at.
u = 0 - (-2.5 X 10) = 25 m/s.
So initial velocity of the body is 25 m/s.
