प्रश्न
Find the values of other five trigonometric function if `cot x = 3/4`, x lies in quadrant.
उत्तर
cot x = `3/4`
Here OA = 3 units
∴ AB = 4 units
∴ OB = `sqrt("OA"^2+"AB"^2)`
= `sqrt(9+16)` = 5 units
Now OA = - 3 (in OX' direction)
AB = - 4 (in OY' direction)
sin x = `"AB"/"OB"` = `(-4)/5`,
cos x = `"OA"/"OB"` = `(-3)/5`,
tan x = `"AB"/"OA"` = `(-4)/(-3)` = `4/3`
cosec x = `"OB"/"OA"` = - `5/4`,
sec x = `"OB"/"OA"` = `5/(-3)` = -`5/3`,
