For the equation given below, find the slope and the y-intercept:
4y + 9 = 0

योग

उत्तर

Equation of any straight line in the form y = mx + c, where slope = m(co-efficient of x) and y-intercept = c(constant term)
4y + 9 = 0

4y + 9 = 0

4y = 0 · x - 9

y = `(0)/(4) x -(9)/(4)`

y = 0 · x + `(-9/4)`

Therefore,

slope = co-efficient of x = 0

y-intercept = constant term = `-(9)/(4)`
