Tropical rain forests are found in the equatorial region due to excessive rainfall and temperature. These are known as ‘Selvas’ in the Amazon basin. Other regions are the Zaire basin, Indonesia, Malaysia, and S. Philippines. The main types of trees are ebony, mahogany, cinchona, rosewood, rubber, etc.
