Interest plays an important role in determining the selection of a career. Young students need more information about their interests with a view to cultivating the areas of there are interests at the right time and in the right direction. Interest assessment is used for counselling individuals who are looking for occupations or who want assistance in the choice of vocational training. It also helps to determine the vocational abilities of a person and interpret test scores in terms of a wide range of occupations. Interest tests are used to predict success in specific professions.
