प्रश्न

Give one example of a body that has potential energy, in each of the following:

  1. due to its position at a height.
  2. due to its elongated stretched state.
संक्षेप में उत्तर

उत्तर

An object can store electricity because of the result of its function. for example, the heavy ball of a demolition machine is storing electricity while its miles are held at an extended role. This stored strength of function is known as potential electricity. In addition, a drawn bow is able to store energy as the end result of its function.

    1. Water at a height has potential energy stored in it. Falling water from a height can be used to do work like turning a wheel.

    2. Also, The more height from where you drop the object the more damage it causes, the more potential energy it stores.

  1. Potential energy due to its elongated stretched state:
    1. A stretched rubber band (elongated state) has potential energy. The deformation occurring in the body can be utilized in storing potential energy (ex: spring, clay etc.) It does work in restoring itself to its original state.
    2. A pebble placed on the stretched rubber catapult is thrown away when it is released to restore its original state. In the above situation, we can use the conservation of energy.
