Define joint demand.

When two or more goods are demanded together, it is called joint demand. It exists when two or more goods are equired together to satisfy a particular want. Joint demand is also called complementary demand.

Example:

  1. Demand for printers and inks. Printers need ink to function.
  2. Another example is car and petrol.
  3. Mobile and Sim card is also a good example of joint demand.
