प्रश्न
Give two points of difference between 'surface water' and 'groundwater'.
अंतर स्पष्ट करें
उत्तर
- Surface water: Precipitation or seepage from underground causes water on land to form streams and rivers that eventually flow into the sea.
- Groundwater: Water from precipitation (rain or snow) flows on the surface. Some water evaporates and the remainder settles into the earth. Groundwater is water gathered beneath the land's surface and stored in soil, subsoil, or bedrock. Most water eventually reaches the sea. An aquifer is a saturated underground water stream that may easily convey water. Groundwater accounts for 0.66 per cent of usable water on Earth.
