The Chief Justice of High Court is appointed by the President under his own hand and seal while appointing the Chief Justice, the President consults the Chief Justice of Supreme Court and the Governor of the State concerned. In case of the appointment of other judges, the President consults the Chief Justice of concerned High court and the Governor of the concerned state.
