How did a Trojan get its name?

The Trojan horse is named after a tale told in both ancient Latin and Greek mythology. According to legend, in order to end a 10-year siege of the city-state of Troy, the Greeks devised the scheme to create a huge wooden horse and deliver it as a gift to the Trojans.
