प्रश्न
How was the Quit India Movement different from other popular movements organised earlier by Mahatma Gandhi?
संक्षेप में उत्तर
उत्तर
In contrast to other Gandhian initiatives such as non-cooperation and civil disobedience, the Quit India Movement saw spontaneous participation from the masses. Before the Congress could begin its movement, the government struck hard, arresting all of the Congress leaders, including GandhiJi. This sparked a widespread uprising known as the Quit India Movement. Unlike other movements, the Quit India Movement made India's independence the exclusive focus of the national movement. It made it evident that the British could no longer rule India against the will of the people.
