प्रश्न
If A : B = 3 : 4 and B : C = 6 : 7, find:
- A : B : C
- A : C
उत्तर
i. A : B : C
`A/B = 3/4`
= `3/4 xx 3/4`
= `9/12`
`B/C = 6/7`
= `6/7 xx 2/2`
= `12/14`
A : B : C = 9 : 12 : 14
ii. A : C
`A/B = 3/4`
`B/C = 6/7`
∴ `A/C = (A/B)/(C/B)`
= `(3/4)/(7/6)`
= `3/4 xx 6/7`
= `9/14`
∴ A : C = 9 : 14
