(i) Let A be the event of getting product of face value 6.

n(A) = 4

P(A) = `("n"("A"))/("n"("S")) = 4/36`

(ii) Let B be the event of getting difference of face value is 5.

B = {(6, 1)}

n(B) = 1

P(B) = `("n"("B"))/("n"("S")) = 1/36`

A ∩ B = {(6, 1)}

n(A ∩ B) = 1

P(A ∩ B) = `("n"("A" ∩ "B"))/("n"("S")) = 1/36`

P(A ∪ B) = P(A) + P(B) − P(A ∩ B)

= `4/36 + 1/36 - 1/36`

= `4/36`

= `1/9`

The probability is `1/9`
