प्रश्न
In which plant will you look for mycorrhiza and corolloid roots? Also explain what these terms mean.
उत्तर
Mycorrhiza is a symbiotic association between a fungus and the roots of a vascular plant. Mycorrhiza is found in some gymnosperm genera, such as Pinus.
Coralloid Roots: These roots, too, have a symbiotic relationship, but this time with nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria. Many nodules are formed in the roots giving them a coralloid appearance. Examples are Cycas and plants of Leguminosae.
