प्रश्न
'Land is the original source of all material wealth' in this context explain four determinants that influence the productivity of land.
उत्तर
Four factors that influence the productivity of land:
- Natural Factors: Fertility, slope, climate, and soil chemical and biological features all have a significant impact on land productivity.
- Human Factors: Land productivity is partly determined by workers' expertise and training. A knowledgeable farmer may harvest more crops from the same field than an uneducated one.
- Land Improvement: Land development techniques such as well or tube-well irrigation, adequate drainage, fencing, and so on have an impact on land productivity.
- Land Location: Land production is also affected by its location. Property near the market is considered more productive than property further away because it does not require an additional cost to transport the food to market. If it is located further from the market, the farmer will have to pay extra for transportation of the produce to the market.
