प्रश्न
Describe the major protest erupted in Saigon Native Girls School in 1926, in Vietnam.
उत्तर
In 1926, in the Saigon Native Girls School, a Vietnamese girl who was sitting in one of the front seats was asked to move back and make space for a French student. On refusal to do so, the Vietnamese girl was expelled by the school principal along with other students who were supporting her. In response to this discriminatory act, a major protest occurred in the school in support of the Vietnamese girl. Considering the gravity of the situation, the government decided to control the intensity of the protest by forcing the school to take the students back. Although the principal took the students back on government pressure, but she unleashed her anger by vowing to establish French control over the Vietnamese.
