Rate of sales tax = 6%
Let reduced price be Rs. x
x + 6% of x = 9,275
⟹`(106x)/100`= 9,275
⟹ x = 8,750
Price reduction needed in the marked price
= Rs. 9,375 − Rs. 8,750 = Rs. 625
