प्रश्न

Savita purchased an almirah for Rs. 4536 including sale tax. If the list price of the almirah is Rs. 4,200, find the rate of sale tax charged.

योग

उत्तर

Cost of almirah (including sale tax) = ₹ 4,536
List Price of almirah = ₹ 4,200

Sales tax = ₹ 4,536 - ₹ 4,200 = ₹ 336

Rate of Sales tax = `"Sales Tax"/"List Price" xx 100`

= `(₹336)/(₹4,200) xx 100`

= 8%
