प्रश्न
State the meaning of Environmental crisis and its impact on resources.
उत्तर
An environmental crisis occurs when the environment of a geographical area becomes too stressed to support the normal living of the area's inhabitants. For example, South Africa's Cape Town is on the verge of becoming a dry city in a short period of time. This occurs when there is an excessive use of nonrenewable resources such as fossil fuels and minerals, deforestation, overuse of water, and so on. This results in the depletion of resources, which are either not replenished or take an extremely long time to replenish. This makes life more difficult for humans.
