Excessive use of mobile phones and the internet can lead to addiction and has several adverse effects. There could also be a misuse of technology. e.g. using satellite images of a region to plan terrorist attacks.

Technological development is related to material culture, which is very easy to change, whereas non-material culture is related to the culture's morals, values, and traditions, which are difficult to change. Nonmaterial culture and technological advancement cannot help someone who refuses to accept change.
