Explain the process of sowing the crop shown in the above picture.

The process of sowing the crop is known as transplantation, used in sowing rice crops.
There are various steps followed in the process of sowing rice crops which are as follows:
- Firstly, the land is ploughed and tilled properly and the land is levelled to sow the seeds at the onset of the monsoon.
- Secondly, the seeds are sown directly on the fields or they are first planted in nurseries in seed beds and then transplanted to the main fields either by hand or by machine.
- The fields have to have standing water at the time of sowing as shown in the picture above.
