प्रश्न
The C.P. of 12 pens is same as S.P. of 15 pens. Calculate the profit or loss percent made, if all the pens bought are considered to be sold.
उत्तर
C.P. of 12 pens = S.P. of 15 pens = Rs. 100 (suppose)
∴ C.P. of 1 pen =`100/12` = Rs. 8.33
and S.P. of 1 pen = `100/15` = Rs. 6.67
∴ Loss = C.P. - S.P.
= Rs. 8.33 - Rs. 6.67
= Rs. 1.67
Loss % =`("Loss" xx 100)/"C.P."`
`= (1.67 xx 100)/8.33`
`= (166 xx 100 xx 100)/(100 xx 833)`
= 19.93 %
